Whitefence.com is a great resource for homeowners or renters in the Olathe and Kansas City area. When moving to a new area the question of who to use for utilities, cable and internet can be very confusing. You often aren’t comparing apples to apples and spend hours on the phone with different provides. The resource, Whitefence.com is so great because you simply type in your address and the website will do the comparison shopping for you!

This great service does have it’s limitations as the only utility I could find is natural gas. It didn’t list electric companies, water or trash. It was especially helpful with internet, TV and home phone comparison though and has many other options as well, although I’m assuming many are paid sponsors. It’s a great starting point and worth checking out!

The Peanut Makes Some Changes

According to the Kansas City Star, there are some nutty changes going on with a favorite local bar, The Peanut. 

• The Peanut at Metcalf and 76th has changed it’s name to: 76th Street
• The Peanut Downtown is closed for remodeling, but will reopen June 1 with the new name: The Peanut of Kansas
• Back in January, The Peanut in Shawnee converted to Famous Sam’s
• The Peanut in Lee’s Summit will remain the same
